A new weekly marketplace designed to strengthen Ghana’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and connect them directly with buyers is set to launch in Accra on 14th February 2026.
The GhanaMade Expo, an initiative under AGRIVIMS Ghana, will take place every Saturday at the CSIR-Food Research Compound near the Ghana Standards Authority in Shiashie.
Unlike traditional trade fairs, the Expo is structured as a permanent Saturday marketplace aimed at creating predictable access to customers for Ghanaian producers while offering consumers a trusted location to purchase authentic Ghana-made goods.
Dr. Courage Komla Besah-Adanu, Lead Consultant at AGRIVIMS, explained that the platform focuses on building trust through consistency. “When producers and buyers meet regularly, trust grows. And when trust grows, value multiplies,” he stated.
The Expo will feature agro-processed foods, textiles, beauty products, crafts, home goods, and other locally produced items. Vendors will be carefully selected, and authenticity measures such as vendor identification and transparent sourcing will be implemented.
The first Saturday of each month will host a special Feature Edition with additional media visibility and themed experiences.
Organizers say the initiative is also designed to serve the Ghanaian diaspora and international buyers looking for reliable, export-ready Ghanaian brands.
By establishing a dependable weekly marketplace, GhanaMade Expo aims to become a structured retail platform where Ghanaian products compete on quality and consistency rather than sentiment.
The market opens at 10 AM each Saturday, beginning 14th February 2026.
